Company

Societal and technological developments are profoundly reshaping the strategies of industrial companies, manufacturers and equipment suppliers. MOVING MAGNET TECHNOLOGIES (MMT) contributes to this transformation by developing cutting-edge technological solutions, particularly for on-road and off-road mobility and, more broadly, for industry. These solutions combine electric motors with actuators and other rotodynamic equipment, integrating intelligent sensor-based functions within a systems approach. A partner of a global group, MMT is an engineering and R&D centre specialising in innovative, high-performance mechatronic positioning and drive systems. Based in Besançon, its team of around 40 people has been developing innovations for more than 30 years, used worldwide by equipment suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in the automotive and mobile machinery sectors.

As part of the development of its fluidtronics technology (pumps, compressors, fans and valves integrated with motors and actuators), MMT is recruiting:

FLUIDTRONICS ENGINEER (M/F)

Your responsibilities

Within a unit dedicated to integrated motor and fluid-handling equipment systems, you will take responsibility for developing new solutions combining fluid mechanics, mechatronics and digital technologies. Drawing on customer needs and system specifications, you will design innovative fluidtronic architectures (pumps, compressors, fans, control valves, etc.) integrated with the group's motors and drive components. You will develop innovative products, size equipment, build predictive models and conduct performance and behaviour studies.

Your work will rely extensively on experimental measurements, modelling and numerical simulation: computational fluid dynamics (CFD), multiphysics models, scientific computing tools and programming (particularly Python), with an openness to using artificial intelligence to analyse, optimise or automate certain design stages. You will also be involved in hands-on work: contributing to prototype design, preparing and monitoring bench and laboratory tests, interpreting results and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Working with all teams, both technical and commercial, you will help deliver innovation projects: clarifying requirements, defining solutions, planning and setting technical milestones, and participating in discussions with customers. You may also contribute to prototype cost estimates and quotations, providing your expertise on technical choices and the resources required.

Profile

You hold a scientific or technical qualification at engineering degree, master's or PhD level (French Bac+5/Bac+8) in fluid mechanics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering with a focus on fluids, or a related field. You have developed a strong command of applied fluid mechanics and equipment sizing (rotodynamic equipment and valves), together with a good understanding of mechatronic systems and electro-hydraulic or electro-pneumatic architectures. You have practical experience in CFD and numerical simulation and are comfortable with programming, particularly Python. Experience in an industrial environment is essential.

Creative, curious and pragmatic, you enjoy turning complex technical challenges into practical solutions suitable for industrial production. Your working proficiency in English enables you to operate in an international environment with customers, partners and technical documentation.

This is a permanent position based in Besançon, with remuneration to be agreed according to your profile and experience.
